The present invention relates to a cation exchange membrane comprising a polymer matrix on the surface of which is grafted at least one grouping having the formula -R1- (CH2)m-NR2R3 and/or at least one molecule carrying at least one grouping having the formula -R1- (CH2)m-NR2R3 where: R1 is an aryl group; m is 0, 1, 2, or 3; and R2 and R3, whether identical or different, are a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group. The present invention relates to a method for preparing one such membrane and to the uses thereof.
