PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torque measuring method and a device of a ball screw measuring properly a torque working on the ball screw having a clearance between a screw shaft and a ball screw nut. SOLUTION: This torque measuring device 11 of the ball screw includes a screw shaft driving device 12 for rotating the screw shaft 2 not to be moved in the shaft direction, a load cell 13 as a sensor for detecting a torque working on the ball screw nut 3, a sensor sending device 14 for moving the sensor 13 following movement of the ball screw nut 3, a torque transmission means 15 to be bonded by a member not elongating but bending the ball screw nut 3 and the sensor 13, and a weight 16 for applying a force in the axial direction to the ball screw nut 3.
