A method is provided that augments the personalisation of a mobile device. In providing for the composure of a personally designed text-based primary text message using one or more fonts and colours, the present invention renders the mobile device as a platform for designing text messages that reflect a unique character. The method provides for the content of a personally designed text-based text message to be displayed on an input device as a MMS message, specifically a multimedia picture message. The objective of creating/editing and file transfer of a text-based personalised message is not dependent on a text-based program or computer based operating system and a solution is provided to mobile device/host device limitations that at present prevent the delivery of fonts to an input device wherein those fonts are different to the system font or configuration of the input device.
