A rubber sealing boot 17 for an axially movable control rod 15 of a fluid-pressure motor 16 co-operates with a former 25 of such an outline in relation to the shape of the boot that when the rod is moved axially into the motor the boot rolls smoothly over the former into itself. The boot 17 has a bead 18 at its larger end that engages a groove 19 in the motor end wall and has an interned portion at its smaller end which is secured by a clip 24 to the rod. The former 25, which may be of metal or plastic, is screwed to the rod with its smaller end adjacent the boot in the unstressed condition of the boot. |
