PURPOSE: A packet processing device and method thereof for a high speed wireless/wired bridge device are provided to perform wired/wireless packet conversion at high speed and to automatically identify a packet which is inputted through a wired interface. CONSTITUTION: A wired interface matching unit(202) processes each interface protocol. A multiple packet identifying unit(203) stores packet classification information necessary for hardware. A wired/wireless packet converter(204) converts a wired packet into a wireless packet. A wireless packet managing unit(205) transmits a wireless packet by wireless MAC(Medium Access Control) hardware.
