PURPOSE: A floating stitch needle for a crochet galloon machine is provided to improve reliability of processes and to reduce thread tension of weft threads by a new guide protrusion of the crochet galloon machine needle. CONSTITUTION: A floating stitch needle for a crochet galloon machine includes a shank(28) and a hook head(36). The shank includes the hook on the end. The hook includes a hook head(36). The hook head is transmitted to an elastic leg(46) closing and opening the inner space of the hook. The hook head includes the hook inner side and a hook outer side(39). A guide protrusion is located on the center of the hook.
