PURPOSE: A heat insulation structure of an LNG(Liquefied Natural Gas) storage tank is provided to reliably attach insulators between adjacent raised portions of heat insulating panels without slip of an adhesive. CONSTITUTION: A heat insulation structure(1) of an LNG storage tank(72) comprises heat insulating panels(20,20a,20b) and heat insulators(30,31,32). The heat insulating panels are consecutively installed on the exterior of the LNG storage tank, and the heat insulating panels have supporting parts(22,22a,22b) whose interior sides face the exterior side of the LNG storage tank and raised parts(24,24a,24b) which are protruded outward from the center of the exterior of the supporting parts. The insulators are inserted in gaps(51,52) formed between the opposed raised portions of the heat insulating panels and attached to the adjacent raised parts.
