PURPOSE: A recording apparatus is provided to set up the maximum limitation of the file size regardless of predetermined file size based on the residual capacity of the recording medium. CONSTITUTION: A control unit detects the residual capacity of recording medium in case a video file is not opened(S221, S226). In case there is the residual capacity of the recording medium, the control unit opens a new video file(S227). The control unit registers newly opened video file on a file list(S228). The control unit deletes the oldest file in case there is no residual capacity of the recording medium(S229). |
