Belt grinding machine for processing curved surfaces

The device has grinding belts (3, 4) arranged at a workpiece (2) in screw-shape. A pointed angle is enclosed in a working area (7) of the grinding belts between the workpiece and the grinding belts. Pressing elements are attached to the grinding belts. The pressing elements are radially moved to the workpiece between a resting position and a pressing position. The pressing elements with a pressing surface are arranged on a side of the grinding belts turned away from the workpiece. The grinding belts are attached to opposite sides of the workpiece. An independent claim is also included for a method for grinding a workpiece.
