The method involves arranging a connection plate (16) on a vehicle body and plating the connecting plate in a direction transverse to a traveling direction of a vehicle. Relative position of a quarter window (4) and the vehicle body is adjusted in the transverse direction to allow transverse adjustment of a fixed rigid support (12) of a window driving mechanism (11) in a position corresponding to the adjusted position of the window. The connection plate and the support of the window driving mechanism are fixed in the obtained position. An independent claim is also included for a device for mounting a window regulator on a vehicle body.
