The press drive arrangement (10) comprises a branching gear, particularly a tiered planetary gear (30) with a planetary gear carrier (31) in which multiple pinion shafts (33) are pivoted. A sun gear (41) is arranged on a pivoted sun gear shaft (40), where the sun gear is engaged with a planetary gear (32b) of the pinion shaft. A pivoted central gear (50) is engaged with another planetary gear (32a) of the pinion shaft. An independent claim is also included for a mechanical eccentric press with a drive.
