<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a propeller shaft apparatus that reduces noise generated by unbalanced angles of torsion of first and second lips. <P>SOLUTION: In the propeller shaft apparatus 10 in which a propeller shaft 11 is supported by a support device 31 via a bearing 30 and the bearing 30 is sealed off from the external environment by a dust seal 40 attached to an inner circumference of the support device 31 and brought in sliding contact with an outer circumference of the propeller shaft 11, the dust seal 40 includes at least the first and second lips 41 and 42 extending to opposite axial sides, and one of the first and second lips 41 and 42 has a smaller inside diameter at a tip and a larger cross-sectional area than the other lip. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
