PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection valve which prevents the deposition of fuel remaining inside and outside an injection hole in a simple structure, and prevents a reduction in an injection quantity and the deformation of a spray form caused by the adhesion and accumulation of deposits. SOLUTION: In the fuel injection valve including the injection hole exposed to a combustion atmosphere, the injection hole is surrounded with a flame extinguishing mesh cover, thereby preventing the propagation of flame around the injection hole. The flame extinguishing mesh cover is made of wire netting formed by braiding stainless steel wire in a lattice form. The flame extinguishing mesh cover is formed with an injection fuel passing hole maintaining the spray form of the injection fuel. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
