PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform recording preventing decline in image quality by changing a block drive pattern of time-sharing drive in accordance with shift amount when a range of a used discharge port is shifted according to a carrying error, in an ink jet recording device. SOLUTION: Corresponding to detection of 20μm of a carrying amount error during carrying before the second path, a use nozzle range is shifted only by one (amount of one nozzle). In this case, with respect to an original block drive order 0-15, the drive is started from a drive block 15. Thus, with respect to each unit region completing image recording by four paths, after the second path, the drive start block is the drive block 15, and a nozzle to which the block is allocated is a nozzle recording a pixel at the uppermost edge of the unit region.
