A method and device for network access are disclosed, and the method comprises: detecting whether or not a notification message reported by Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) module is received within setting time, the message expressing that a service terminal has connected with network successfully; if yes, establishing the connection between the service terminal and the DSL module to make the service terminal access network by the DSL module; if not, establishing the connection between the service terminal and 3G data card module to make the service terminal access network by the 3G data card module. The method of the invention avoids switching network access manner by manual plugging, and improves efficiency of making the service terminal access network. The network access device includes the DSL module and the 3G data card module, so as to facilitate carrying for user.
