PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an algorithm management system of a communication terminal which can download a new algorithm even when there is no free area in a memory, and even when one algorithm in the memory is erased for download of the new algorithm, reuse the erased algorithm. SOLUTION: When new key data is downloaded from a server 19 to a cellular phone 3, when there is no free area in the memory 4 of the cellular phone 3, key data Dk with the lowest use frequency among a plurality of pieces of key data Dk in the memory 4 is erased, and the new key data is written in a vacant area. In addition, when the vacant area is formed in the memory 4 without the vacant area, key data Dk with high priority next to pieces of key data Dk, already registered in the memory 4 is automatically downloaded from the server 19, and the erased key data erased from the memory 4 in the previous download is re-registered in the memory 4 of the cellular phone 3.
