The throttle device is provided with a throttle body with a ring element (50) and an outer cylinder. The throttle body is provided with a cross-pervading throttle shaft (22) with an attached butterfly valve. The outer cylinder consists of duroplastic. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a throttle device.
