<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lower seal which prevents a sub lip, which covers a drain hole at the lower end of the lower seal, from being caught in a base seat and damaged when a door panel is carried to a cradle of the following process and attached by being inserted into an insertion groove of the base seat of the cradle after the lower seal is attached to the door panel at the lower end of a side door for a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: The lower seal includes: a mounting part 5, which is mounted to the door panel 3 by a clip 4; a main lip 6, which is protrusively provided curving from the upper end of the mounting part toward the vehicle inside; and the sub lip 22, which is made to elastically contact a paint sealer 11 attached to a hem 9 and covers the drain hole 12. In this lower seal, a bent part 23 of a V shape in cross section is formed on the sub lip 22 to prevent it from being caught in the base seat 16 by making the bent part 23 contact the groove edge of the insertion hole 17 and bend and making the lower end of the sub lip 22 retreat from the hem 9, when the door panel 3 is inserted into an insertion groove 17 on the base seat 16. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
