<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive photoelectric conversion element having high conversion efficiency and excellent durability; and to provide a photo-electrochemical cell. <P>SOLUTION: The photoelectric conversion element contains dye having structure represented by general formula (1). In general formula (1), X represents a non-metallic atom group necessary for forming a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic ring of a six-membered ring or a seven-membered ring by coupling with a benzene ring; Y represents a dye residue; n represents an integer of 1 or above; Z represents a substituent; m represents 0 or a positive integer; when m is 2 or above, Z may be the same or different; and R<SP>1</SP>represents a hydrogen atom, an aliphatic group, an aromatic group, or a heterocyclic ring group binding with a carbon atom. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
