PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a housing for a battery case made of a polycarbonate resin, which improves problems such as mold corrosion, reduction in physical properties, and poor appearance, does not use a halogen-based flame retardant such as bromine, or chlorine, and a phosphorus-based flame retardant and has excellent flame retardancy despite thin thickness. SOLUTION: The housing for a battery case is obtained by injection molding a flame-retardant polycarbonate resin composition which includes 100 pts.wt. of a polycarbonate resin (A), 0.03-10.0 pts.wt. of a divalent metal sulfate (B), 0.01-5.0 pts.wt. of a specific silicone compound (C), 0.01-2.0 pts.wt. of an organometallic salt compound (D) and 0.05-5.0 pts.wt. of a fiber-forming type fluorine-containing polymer (E) and has V-0 class when a combustion test is carried out using a test piece that is obtained by using the composition and has a thickness of 0.8 mm.
