<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transparent film, with superior transparency or the like and reduced retardation, the transparent film being suitable for application of liquid crystal display or the like. <P>SOLUTION: A transparent film is held in a base material of glass fiber. The transparent film satisfies a relation of 0.001≤n2-n1≤0.007, wherein n1 is the refractive index of the glass fiber, n2 is the refractive index of the transparent resin.
