PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve grounding characteristics of a conductive grounding shell in a simple structure. SOLUTION: A connector-side ground connection member (a ground spring member) 24c provided in a conductive ground shell 24 of a receptacle connector 2, and a substrate-side ground connecting member (a rear hold-down) 24b are arranged extending almost in parallel with an engagement direction of a plug connector 1 as an engagement counterpart, and a ground current flowing between these connector-side ground connection member 24c and the substrate-side ground connection member 24b is made to flow in the shortest and straight line shape so as to sharply suppress an electric loss and a generation of an unnecessary inducing phenomenon.
