PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular disk brake that can implement easy and short replacement of friction pads in addition to drag prevention of the friction pads and assembly improvement. SOLUTION: A pawl 6b is protrusively formed on an inner circumference of a tip of a piston 6. A locking member 10 sized to pass inside the pawl 6b is disposed on a backplate 4b of the friction pad 4 protrusively toward an inner circumferential wall of the piston 5. In an assembly position in which the friction pad 4 is assembled in a caliper body 3 and hung by a hanger pin 11, the locking member 10 engages the pawl 6b. With the hanger pin 11 removed from the caliper body 3, the friction pad 4 can be displaced from the assembly position to disengage the locking member 10 from the pawl 6b.
