<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming unit and an image forming apparatus, which are configured to reduce the size of a developer storage body, reduce the weight of a used-developer storage body, and prevent excessive load from being applied to a moving mechanism even if a recovered-matter storage tank for storing residual matter sticking to the surface of an image carrier is filled with the recovered sticking matter. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming unit 2 includes: a photoreceptor drum 221; a developing part 230 having a developer storage part 231 and a developing roller 233 and used for supplying a developer stored in the developer storage part 231 to the surface of the photoreceptor drum 221 by means of the developing roller 233; a cleaning part 224 for removing matter sticking to the surface of the photoreceptor drum 221; a conveying mechanism 250 for conveying the removed sticking matter; the recovered-matter storage tank 240 for storing the sticking matter; and a partition 271 separating the developer storage part 231 and the recovered-matter storage tank 240.
