PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save the efforts of input for setting a password or canceling the password for each file in order to give or cancel use restrictions to the file. SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus 1 transmits an object file to a desired destination or stores the file in a desired place with adding the password to the file or cancel the use restrictions through authentication of the file having the password. The image processing apparatus includes: a password setting means 101 for setting a desired password with associating with predetermined registration information; and a password referring means 102 for adding the set password associated with the registration information to one or more object files.
