PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber connecting device that can suppress optical transmission loss such as micro-bending loss and can achieve an optical connection with low loss by relatively simple work. SOLUTION: The optical fiber connecting device 10 is provided with a rectangular base unit 11 in which an optical fiber guiding path 12 is defined along a longitudinal direction, a ferrule 13 which is arranged at a part of the optical fiber guiding path 12 defined in the base unit 11 and which is used for performing optical connection by butting exposed core members against each other, and a pair of fiber fixing parts 14, 15 that make the optical fibers 16, 17 guided in the optical fiber guiding path 12 be held in such a way that the fibers are pushed into the guiding path. The ferrule 13 is arranged in the vicinity of one of the pair of fiber fixing parts 14, 15 and the fiber guiding path 12 between the other one of the pair of fiber fixing parts 14, 15 and the ferrule 13 guides the held optical fiber 16 in a bent state.
