PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photographing auxiliary device capable of facilitating adjustment before photographing and handling in photographing, and performing stable image recording. SOLUTION: The photographing auxiliary device 1 includes: a pole 4; a camera connecting part 2 provided at one end of the pole 4 for connecting a camera 20 for photographing; a grip 6 connected to the pole 4 through a gimbal 5; and a weight 7 connected to the pole 4 at the opposite side to the camera connecting part 2 with respect to the gimbal 5. The camera connecting part 2 is constituted of a free camera platform, and the weight 7 includes: a weight support 7A rockingly connected to the pole 4; and a weight 7B fitted to the weight support 7A. The weight support 7A is constituted to be fixed at a desired angle position to the pole 4 whereby the inclination of the camera 20 is adjusted by the free camera platform, and an angle between the pole 4 and the weight support 7A is adjusted to adjust balance for the whole device including the camera 20.
