The head (1) has a ring-shaped gripping part (2) comprising an inner area (3), and a central holder (5) for arranging of the part on a shaft (6) of an adjusting part (8) e.g. encoder, arranged on a printed circuit board (7). The gripping part has a transparent indicating dial (9) illuminatable by a light source (11) i.e. LED. The gripping part is opened at a rear side, and a diffuser disk (4) made from transparent plastic material is inserted into the gripping part as an intermediate base that is fixedly connected with the gripping part, where the holder is supported at the diffuser disk.
