PURPOSE: A secondary battery and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to reduce an internal space of a battery case in which a stack type electrode assembly is housed, thereby minimizing the volume of the secondary battery. CONSTITUTION: A secondary battery comprises: an electrode assembly(410) in which a separator is laminated between a positive electrode plate(311) and a negative electrode plate(312), wherein the bent side of a plurality of bent positive electrode uncoated part(311b) is positioned in the outermost of one side thereof and the bent side of a plurality of bent negative electrode uncoated part(312a) is positioned in the outermost of the other side thereof; a positive electrode tab(320) in which one side is electrically connected to a plurality of positive electrode uncoated part; a negative electrode tab(330) in which one side is electrically connected to a plurality of negative electrode uncoated part; and a battery case housing the electrode assembly. |
