ROUTING METHOD FOR EXTENDING LIFETIME OF SENSOR NETWORKS

PURPOSE: A routing method for extending lifetime of sensor networks is provided to select a node including a selection of the shortest distance and the maximum energy remaining amount. CONSTITUTION: Neighbor nodes receiving an RREQ(Request REQuire) messages determine whether the received RREQ message is new message or not(S104). If the Route cost value of the RREQ message is smaller than the Forward route cost of the routing request table, the Forward route cost value is updated as the Route cost value(S105). If the Forward route cost is updated, the Remaining energy value of the RREQ message is compared with the remaining energy of the routing request table(S107). If a destination node receives a packet, the destination node transmits the RREP message to the source node(S111,S117).
