THE METHOD FOR TRACKING OBJECT AND THE APPARATUS THEREOF

PURPOSE: A method for tracking a target and device thereof is provided to accurately estimating a target by tracing the size of the target and a center of the target by using weight of each color and a center of each color. CONSTITUTION: An object specifying unit(110) calculates weight of each color according to rate of a color configuring a target in an initial frame existing the target. The object specifying unit specifies the center of the target in the initial frame by calculating a weight average about the center of each color by using weight of each color and calculating each color about the target. A location tracking unit(130) calculates a center about each color of the area and set a search area around a target location in current frame. The location tracking unit tracks a target location in a next frame by using a color weight calculated in the target specifying unit and a center about each color.
