PURPOSE: A polarizing beam splitter molding and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to simplify connection work and manufacturing process, by covering a light source individually or wholly with the molding. CONSTITUTION: A molding is located in front of a light source(10) including an LED. The molding splits the polarization of a light emitted from the light source. A transmission plane(33) is formed with a transmission material. A molding body(31) has a groove(34) formed by the transmission plane. A polarizing coating film(35) is formed in the transmission plane. The polarizing coating film reflects or absorbs a specific polarized light. A molding(37) is formed in the groove. The molding is formed with a transmission material. The molding covers the polarizing coating film.
