PURPOSE: An LED type backlight unit is provided to improve the brightness uniformity in order to make uniform brightness of an optical panel of an LED light source. CONSTITUTION: A direct emission type LED type backlight unit(50) includes a printed circuit board(51), a light emitting diode light source arranged on the printed circuit board, and a diffusion plate arranged on the light emitting diode light source.
