A hand-operated expander for the muscles in the arms and pectoral girdle, the expander consisting of a spiral torsion spring, with two working arms, each of which is either a lever or has a lever, at the end of which there is a handle which is arranged either perpendicularly or parallel to the spring axis, wherein there is no moment of force rotating the expander around the centre of the axis of the spring thereof on account of the fact that the centre of the axis of each handle is located on the centre plane of the spring. Levers which cross each other make it possible to use the expander for the muscles of the shoulders and back when the spring is twisted upon spreading of the handles apart from each other. Additional angles on the levers make it possible to increase the angle at which said levers are spread apart. The expander can also have two torsion springs which are located on a general axis, and handles interconnect the levers of the various springs.
|
