PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus and a processing program to maintain accuracy in density detection and color matching. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: a detecting means (optical reflection type sensor SE) disposed facing the surface of a transfer means (intermediate transfer belt 25), and configured to perform density detection based on a test image for density detection, and also, perform color matching detection based on a test image for color matching; and a control means (detection control part 300) configured to control the detecting means to detect the test image for density detection and the test image for color matching using different detection conditions.
