PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid electrolytic capacitor including a solid electrolyte layer remarkably excellent in adhesion with a dielectric oxide film, exhibiting excellent impedance characteristics and capacitance, hardly causing a delamination of a conductive polymer layer due to aging, and exhibiting a high durability under a heat-resistant environment, and to provide a method of manufacturing the solid electrolytic capacitor. SOLUTION: In the solid electrolytic capacitor, solution containing a thiophene derivative compound having a silanol substituent is used to be present in the conductive polymer layer, or a copolymer of the thiophene derivative having the silanol substituent and ethylenedioxy thiophene is present in the conductive high polymer layer.
