PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process useful for preparing a toner suitable for electrostatic photographic device. SOLUTION: The process includes steps of: forming a resin mixture by bringing at least one polyester resin into contact with at least one charge control agent and at least one organic solvent; heating the resin mixture to a desired temperature; adding water and optional solvent inversion agent to the mixture; removing the solvent; and forming emulsion containing at least one polyester and one charge control agent in a dispersion phase.
