<p>A synchronization circuit which lines up a receiver in a digital transmission system to incoming redundant ternary code signals. It consists of steps for determining the ternary code words, as identified by the receiver, in accordance with its tempering control signals. It involves determining the number of times the tempering control signals exceed a previously determined number. The various ternary code phases contain forbidden code words and the tempering control signals are shifted in order to align the receiver with the ternary code phase containing the minimum of forbidden ternary code words.</p> |
