<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle light capable of preventing or reducing generation of glare lights attributable to distributing the light beams above a horizontal line H-H and in the area on the oncoming lane side, even if using a toroidal lens (or a cylindrical lens). <P>SOLUTION: A vehicle light includes an LED light source; a toroidal lens that is formed by extending an aspherical lens having a focus set on the LED light source side substantially horizontally in a circular arc shape, or a cylindrical lens having a focus line set to extend in a horizontal direction on the LED light source side; a reflector surface configured to form a predetermined light distribution pattern; and a light-shielding shutter disposed between the toroidal lens or the cylindrical lens and the reflector surface with an upper edge thereof positioned in the vicinity of the focus of the toroidal lens or on the focus line of the cylindrical lens. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
