<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for retrieving non-on-demand media content and on-demand media data provided by another data source. <P>SOLUTION: On-demand media data are cached in such a way as reducing a waiting time of a system on a distribution network and burden. The method includes: a step of retrieving non-on-demand media data from a non-on-demand media source; a step of automatically retrieving on-demand media data from an on-demand media source; a step of automatically caching the on-demand media data; a step of displaying the on-demand media data from cache in response to an instruction of a user who accesses at least the on-demand media data; and a step of displaying non-on-demand media data in response to an instruction of the user who accesses at least the non-on-demand data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
