PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient axial flow turbine stage that can reduce mixing loss caused when leakage steam merges with mainstream steam. SOLUTION: The axial flow turbine stage 11 includes a stator blade outer ring 1 with a canopy 1a positioned outside, a stator blade inner ring 2 positioned inside, stator blades 3 fixed to the stator blade outer ring 1 and stator blade inner ring 2, and rotor blades 5 attached to a rotary shaft 4 and enclosed by the canopy 1a. A shroud 6 is attached to rotor blade tips 5a, and a plurality of fins 7 are fixed to the canopy 1a of the stator blade outer ring 1 between the stator blade outer ring 1 and the shroud 6. The shroud 6 and the plurality of fins 7 form a passage 18 for leakage steam 14 in between, and guide plates 9 are attached to the canopy 1a of the stator blade outer ring 1 on the side of a passage outlet 18a for the leakage steam 14 for guiding the leakage steam 14 to match the direction of the leakage steam 14 with the direction of mainstream steam 13 in a radial external view.
