<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce costs required for store management and save resources by saving printing media for receipts while accurately reflecting demands of a store and a customer. <P>SOLUTION: On the basis of information on commodities input via an input means in one commercial transaction, printing data to be used by a receipt printer to print a receipt including bill information of the transaction is created. On the basis of the created printing data, the printing data is corrected so that the length in the conveying direction of the printing media of the receipt printed by the receipt printer is reduced.
