PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder type deck crane capable of horizontally pulling in a hoisted cargo. SOLUTION: The cylinder type deck crane 4 includes a crane post 5 erected on the upper deck 2 of a cargo boat 1, a base part 6 turnably provided on the upper end of the crane post 5, a jib 8 which is derrickably provided on the base part 6 via a supporting base 7, a winch 12 which is provided on the supporting base 7 to wind a lifting tool 11 hanged from the fore-end of the jib 8 via a hanging rope 10, and a cylinder 9 which is provided between the base part 6 and the jib 8 to derrick the jib 8. The cylinder type deck crane further includes a fixed block 18 provided on the jib 8 so that the hanging rope 10 between the winch 12 and the fore end of the jib 8 is wound in a length-adjustable manner, a movable block 19 advancible/retractable to/from the fixed block 18, and a control means 20 for performing the horizontal pulling of the hoisted cargo so that the lifting tool 11 is moved at a substantially same height by advancing/retracting the movable block 19 according to the derricking angle of the jib 8.
