PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic suspension device capable of more efficiently controlling the drive of a single-phase linear motor so as to further reduce power consumption. SOLUTION: The electromagnetic suspension device is equipped with a yoke YK which includes: two coils CL1, CL2 axially arranged so as to surround a magnet member MG of the single-phase linear motor LM; and two slits SL1, SL2 forming these coils and a magnetic coil. The two coils are energized in a predetermined direction when the axial center section NE of the magnet member is positioned between the two slits based on detection results of at least a detection means SN. When the axial center section exceeds a predetermined position near one side of the two slits, the coils are energized in the opposite direction to the above energization so as to generate a trust as the single-phase linear motor.
