<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continuously secure drainage of a fuel battery constituent member. <P>SOLUTION: A separator 50 of a unit cell 40 constituting a fuel battery system 20 has a diamond-like carbon layer 54 at a cathode 43 side surface. A hydrophilic layer 55 where a hydrophilic group is created with oxidizing action is formed on the surface of the diamond-like carbon layer 54. A control unit 90 of the fuel battery system 20 performs a high-potential operation at a next power generation operation starting treatment when a designated period elapses. Upon generating a partial hydrogen shortage condition at the high-potential operation, a new hydrophilic layer 55 is formed by oxidizing and eluting the surface layer of the diamond-like carbon layer 54 since an electrode potential of the separator 50 is set higher than that at a normal operation of the fuel battery system 20 by using such a condition. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
