<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting device operable at a high drive voltage. <P>SOLUTION: This invention relates to a light-emitting device including a plurality of light-emitting elements arranged on a substrate, wherein: the plurality of light-emitting elements are connected in series to one another; each light-emitting element has a polygonal shape having five or more sides; and the overall shape of the light-emitting device is quadrilateral.
