<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To convert a symbol to an appropriate character string when the symbol included in an input sentence has not any special meaning or has a plurality of meaning candidates. <P>SOLUTION: A first conversion character string selection means 101, when an appearance form dictionary 106 includes an appearance form of a symbol included in a character string of the input sentence 104 and a symbol list 105 in the input sentence, decides a conversion character string 108 (a character string represented by the symbol) based on the dictionary 106. A second conversion character string selection means 102, based on a comparison between a character string candidate of the symbol obtained by a symbol conversion dictionary 107 with words of the character string except the symbol of the input sentence 104, decides the conversion character string 108 when the appearance form dictionary 106 does not include the appearance form. When the conversion character string 108 cannot be decided based on the comparison, a third conversion character string selection means 103, among feature groups of sentences including character strings representing symbols in the symbol conversion dictionary 107, decides a character string representing a symbol included in a sentence having features most similar to those of the input sentence 104 as the conversion character string 108. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
