PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical scanner in which the power of reflected light generated by the reflection on the inner peripheral face of a barrel is reduced and to provide an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: A portion of laser light L emitted from a light source 124 and expanded in the optical axis direction is made incident on a collimator lens 114 after reflected on the inner peripheral face of an incident side barrel part 162. The reflected light which is made incident on the collimator lens 114 is emitted out through a slit hole 166A after passing through the collimator lens 114 and reflected on the inner peripheral face of an emission side barrel part 164. The power of unnecessary reflected light (stray light) with which an image carrier is not irradiated is reduced by being reflected twice in a barrel member 116. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
