ARRANGEMENT COMPRISING A SHAFT SEAL

The seal (SS) has a main seal (MS1) designed as a radial double seal that is defined by two gas seals with a pair of sealing surfaces (SSP) e.g. rotating and stationary sealing surfaces. The sealing surfaces are respectively fastened at rotating and stationary supports. The rotating support or the stationary support is pre-stressed by an elastic element. A sealing fluid chamber is provided between the sealing surfaces and extends in a circumferential direction. The chamber is subjected with sealing fluid (SF) via a sealing fluid line.
