METHOD FOR FINDING CLOSED-FORM BER PERFORMANCE IN POWER-LINE CHANNEL

PURPOSE: A method for obtaining closed-form BER(Bit Error Rate) performance in a power line channel is provided to express the BER performance of a power line communication system in a closed-form formula. CONSTITUTION: Background noise is generated from a transmitting signal on a power line channel. The closed-form PDF(Probability Density Function) of the background noise is obtained. Average BER probability consisting of an integral formula is calculated from the closed-form PDF of the background noise. The closed-form average BER probability is induced by using a confluent hypergeometric function from average BER probability.
